The substrate deposits a brown oxidation product in the presence of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labeled reporters. It is useful for membrane
blots, histochemistry, in situ hybridization and electron microscopy applications.

For the convenience of direct colorimetric visualization of results without the need for a film or imaging instrument, count on the chromogenic substrates. With permanent results recorded on transfer membrane that won’t fade over time, chromogenic substrates provide an easy and cost-effective technique for western blotting.

For detection of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) use the 4CN Plus or DAB substrate solutions. For sensitive detection of alkaline phosphastase (AP), use the ready to use single component BCIP/NBT substrate.
