What actions should be taken to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes in Europe?

There are still a high number of pregnancy-related conditions, that if left unaddressed, can lead to maternal death, stillbirths, and long-term maternal disabilities, including an increased risk of disease. Furthermore, too many babies are still born premature, necessitating intensive short-term treatment and potentially facing long term health burdens, including cerebral palsy, behavior problems, mental health conditions, and neurological disorders. We need interventions at all levels to ensure better outcomes for pregnant women, mothers and babies to save lives and reduce disabilities.*
PerkinElmer is hosting three virtual events bringing together thought leaders, policy makers, patients, NGOs, clinicians, and the private sector to discuss actions that can and should be taken to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes.
