On a daily basis, food industries have to make sure that the food they produce is safe for the consumer. One part of ensuring food safety is the monitoring of microbiological contamination, which is traditionally carried out through the classical sowing method.
This method is time-consuming because the laboratory technicians have to prepare the media themselves for different microorganisms cultivation and only then can start monitoring. Furthermore, traditional culture plates take up a lot of space and have a short shelf life.
MicroFast Count Plates are compact and can be immediately inoculated with the test sample without the need for a media preparation step. Thanks to its small size and 18-month shelf life, MicroFast is a very cost-effective alternative to the classic plate method.
MicroFast Count Plate features:
Rapid diffusion systems – the sample is evenly distributed on the media
Accurate results – selective media for different microorganisms
Enumering is convenient – the investigated microbial colonies acquire a specific color, which makes counting easier and reduces errors
Reliable results and an efficient three-step workflow - inoculation, incubation and interpretation
MicroFast Count Plates are available for the enumeration of the following microorganisms:
